Our name means “green wood” and honors the Greenwood community and lodge that gave this effort a home in McCreary County.

The supplied Chub-e Sabz seal carries the black fez, Mokanna emblem, and the message of good fellowship.
The Grotto in plain terms
The Grotto brings Brothers from different lodges together without replacing the work, obligations, or identity of the Blue Lodge.
Good cheer, memorable gatherings, and family-appropriate fellowship are balanced with genuine service and charitable work.
Grottoes support a wider charitable mission centered on dental care for qualifying children with special needs.
Members are called Prophets, the traditional headwear is a black fez, and the fraternity is known formally as M.O.V.P.E.R.
